Consultant Clinical Psychologist · Clinical lead at Kidora
"Parents usually know when something is not quite right. What they lack is a clear way to check, and a plan for what to do next. That is what Kidora is for."
About Tehreem
Tehreem Talat is a consultant clinical psychologist based in Lahore, with more than fourteen years of clinical practice. She holds an MS in Clinical Psychology from Riphah University and practises at Omar Hospital and Cardiac Centre on Jail Road.
Her work covers child psychology, adult therapy and couples counselling. Much of her caseload involves children whose parents noticed something early but waited too long to ask, which is the gap Kidora is built to close.
Her role at Kidora
Tehreem is the clinical lead for everything a parent reads on this site. In practice that means:
- The milestone questions. She checks that each of the 580 checkpoints sits in the right age band and is written in words a parent can actually judge.
- The activities. She reviews the activities suggested after a check, so that what we recommend is appropriate for the age and the skill it targets.
- The report wording. She sets the line between telling a parent something needs attention and frightening them. Words like "delay" and "disorder" are not used, because a screening tool cannot diagnose either.
- The guides on this site. Every page about child development is written or reviewed by her before it goes up, and carries the date it was last checked.
What this does not mean
Kidora's check is a screening guide, not a consultation. Reading a report reviewed by a psychologist is not the same as being seen by one. If something concerns you, book an appointment with your doctor or a specialist — a report from this site is a useful thing to bring with you.
